Essentials to Pack for your Hen Party Adventure
Essential items to pack!
Girls planning an adventure extravaganza for their hen weekend will need to pack more than just the usual items i.e. L-plates and bride-to-be sashes. It is difficult to know what to take at the best of times but especially if you’re trying an activity for the very first time. That’s why, on behalf of Lagoon Watersports, we’ve put together the ultimate packing checklist for hens planning an adventure weekend with their girls.
1. Swimwear and Towels
You don’t need to pack much when coming to us and for most of our activities at Lagoon Watersports, we provide wetsuits for you to wear on the day but you will be required to bring your own swimwear as well. And don’t forget a towel!
2. Suncream, waterproof mascara and other make-up bag essentials
Trust us, we’re on the water everyday so we know! When you spend all afternoon in the water, a really hot sun can often go unnoticed. Make sure you stay topped up with suncream to avoid feeling tingly and pink for your evenings activities. As for make-up, (if you plan on wearing it at all), swap your daily mascara for a waterproof one – panda eyes are never a good look in hen photos. Wipes are also a good idea, especially if you’re heading somewhere particularly muddy!
3. Life-proof cameras
Don’t let your adventurous spirit stop you from documenting every moment of your hen weekend. You’ll need something a little more durable to take to the wilderness with you. If you’re feeling fancy and have the cash to splash, grab yourself a waterproof/shockproof camera so as not to risk getting your smartphone covered in mud, or worse, lost at sea. On a budget? Run down to the supermarket to pick up some disposable cameras and document your hen do old-school.
Any specialist equipment
Luckily for you, at Lagoon Watersports, everything is provided so you only need to come equipped with swimwear, a towel and a pair of shoes you don’t mind getting soaking wet but if you’re heading to another adventurous location, it is worth checking up on what extras you might need to take with you to avoid missing out.
Warm clothes
At Lagoon Watersports, you and your girls can enjoy our hot showers and changing areas but warm clothes are essential packing. We all know Britain is famous for delightful weather so on the off-chance of a chill, pack some extra layers to change into afterwards.
And of course Hen Party T-shirts! These are not specific for adventure hens, these are a staple requirement for any hen do.
So there you go, we’ve covered the basics in packing for a successful adventure weekend. Always remember to check with the company you’ve booked with for any additional extras you’ll need to bring but apart from that, you’re all set to round up your girls and give the bride-to-be the celebration she deserves!
